ChartYourTrade is proud to have teamed up with TradingView.com to deliver live streaming charts!

We love Trading View charts because they’re fast, easy to use, and easy to annotate and share!  In this post, we’ll show you how to do all of that.

Easy to Use

Live Streaming Chart from Trading ViewSimply click the link in the upper right hand corner of the screen to open up live streaming charts from any device. Charts are defaulted to daily bar charts but you can easily change to longer or shorter time frames or to other chart types as well. Add custom moving averages and other overlays.

Easy to Measure and Manipulate

Once you have the chart opened, and your stock, ETF, or index selected, you can easily measure the length and depth of the pattern you’re interested in.  For example, below here is a chart of the S&P 500 as of 05/24/2016.  It had formed a short flat base starting on 04/12/2016 that was 25 days long and -4.2% deep.

To Measure:

  1. Drag your mouse to the point on the chart you want to start measuring
  2. Press Shift + Left Click
  3. Drag your mouse to the end point you wish to measure and left click again

There are lots of ways to customize the chart type (bars, candles sticks, mountain, etc…), its overlays and comparisons, and much much more.  Open the chart up and play with it for a few minutes.  It’s the best way to learn.

Easy to Share

It’s extremely easy to share your work whether it is on social media, through email, or on a blog!  Click the camera icon in the upper right.  This will allow you to either take a snap shot of the chart or be provided a link to the chart that you can share on social media, embed in forums, etc…
