Market Update: Stocks Are Strong
The market continues acting very well. The tax cut will easily boost the economy, and in turn, boost earnings. That should be bullish for both Main Street and Wall Street. If that happens, we can easily enter an environment that “over-heats” in 2018. “If” that happens, inflation will pick up and the Fed may have to raise rates at a faster rate. “If” that happens, that could adversely impact stock prices. But that is based on a lot of “IFs”…. Remember, we deal with the here and now and right now the market remains exceptionally strong. Until we see any signs of selling, the market deserves the bullish benefit of the doubt.
FLS Portfolio:
As 2017 winds down, the model portfolio is up close to 60% in 2017 and sitting on lofty gains. In fact, over the past two years, the service has easily doubled the return of the major indices.
